Underfloor heating systems are categorized into electric, water-based, and boiler-based systems. The primary way to differentiate them is by examining the heating device installed under the floor. Electric heating systems are suitable for underfloor installations such as heating cables, heating films, heating tiles, and thermal mural systems. Water-based systems are used to connect to NC/NO type actuator systems. Boiler-based systems are used to control the boiler heaters.
What are the differences between different heating systems:
Electric heating heats up and dissipates heat quickly, making it suitable for small areas and localized heating. Installation is simple and maintenance is convenient.

Does it support temperature control for both heating and cooling?
Not supported. Standard thermostats only support heating; they do not support cooling. If you require a thermostat with cooling functionality, please purchase the 'W-BHT-006-GAW-FL' model, the Wi-Fi version.
What type of thermostat should I buy?
Thermostats typically support boilers, underfloor heating and electric heating. With electric heating, heating cables are usually laid under the floor, and an additional sensor is required. With underfloor heating, water pipes are usually laid under the floor, and the space is heated via a water circulation system. If you are unsure which type you have, please send your thermostat wiring diagram to our customer service team so they can help you confirm this.
Can an underfloor heating thermostat be used to control an air conditioner?
No. The underfloor heating thermostat can only be used to control underfloor heating. If you require an air conditioning thermostat, please purchase the dedicated model ‘W-BAC-3000’.
